Feed the Community, Feed the Child

A young person's world is broader than their own kitchen table. When we support the elderly, the isolated, and families managing tough health needs, it supports every child in the community around them too.

Strong Children Stronger Communities' food relief program feeds the whole community, because that's what it takes to raise a healthy child. No child grows up in isolation. Children and young people grow up in a community, surrounded by neighbours, people living with illness, people living alone, and families and individuals doing it tough. When any one of those threads fray in the community, young people often feel it first.

That's why Strong Children's food relief program doesn't just stock a fridge. It takes pressure off a grandmother raising her grandkids. It means a parent managing a chronic illness doesn't have to choose between medication and dinner. It means the elderly neighbour down the road isn't skipping meals to help out family.

Because a child can't thrive in a community that isn't holding together. Feed the community, and you feed the child.

How It Works

Our Food Relief Program provides no-questions-asked access to groceries, fresh produce, and pantry essentials for anyone in our community doing it tough — not just families with children.

Reach out directly to arrange support, with help available on an ongoing basis. We work closely with local suppliers and community partners to keep shelves stocked.
